Heritage United Methodist Church offers
Newcomers classes to anyone who is interested in
learning more about Heritage and its ministries. The classes are a five-week
course that discuss the History of Heritage, our Welcome Ministries, Walk
Ministries, Witness Ministries, and Work Ministries. We explore Sunday School
and Life Group Opportunities and we introduce you to members of our church staff
such as Worship Arts Minister, Children’s Minister, and Youth Minister. It also
offers a great atmosphere for meeting other new people and forming lasting
relationships. The classes meet in the Welcome Center monthly throughout the
months of September through May. Watch for more information in upcoming
newsletters and bulletins.
Once a month, Heritage also offers
Newcomers luncheons or dinners. These are held the 3rd Sunday of
each month. The luncheons/dinners are designed to help people understand the
Core values and Beliefs of Heritage United Methodist Church. Pastor Wes
Hilliard attends each dinner and answers any questions that a newcomer might
have. He also discusses the membership vows of Heritage and offers an invitation
to anyone who would be interested in becoming a part of the Heritage Family.
