Basic Personal Information:  

I grew up in Van Buren, Arkansas and graduated High School from Van Buren High School (GO POINTERS!).  I graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and later graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Master’s Degree in Education.  After completing my masters program I moved to Florida where I taught Alternative Education and I met my husband.  After we were married we decided that Arkansas offered a quieter life style and a more value centered environment to raise a family.  We moved back to Arkansas and have two children. 

 

My call to ministry – why it is my passion:

For the past two years I have undergone major spiritual changes in my life.  I accepted Christ at a very young age but truly do not feel that I made him Lord of my life until spring of ’05.  Since that time, I have found that not only do I have a passion to share Christ but also I have a passion for people.  My desire is that every person that I come in contact with will feel loved and welcomed into the body of Christ.  I have looked around at our community and I realize that there are people who are hurting and in need of feeling accepted.  I pray that God use me in this ministry to reach out to those and help them realize that in the sight of God they are loved.

Miscellaneous information I'd like to share:

Heritage is a great place to be...sixteen years ago we joined after only visiting “one” Sunday.  It is more than a church.... It is home!
