Name: Bill Kelton
Title:
Congregational
Care Pastor
Basic Personal Information:
-
Married
for 52 years, we have two sons and three grandchildren. I grew up on
farms around Muldrow, Oklahoma then spent four years in Air Force (2-1/2
years in Japan). I also attended the original Ft. Smith Junior College,
receiving an AA degree in Business Administration. I also attended a
Course of Study at St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas City for nine
years, two weeks each summer.
My call to ministry – why it is my passion:
-
I
rededicated my life to Christ in 1969; in 1973 God called; in 1975 at
age 52 I answered. In 1977, I was appointed to three churches, finally
retiring in 1994. Then in 1995 I served in Barling, and then retired
again in 2000. That lasted until we moved to
Heritage where I continued my calling. I thank God that he has
permitted me to live long enough to be a part of the ministry of
Heritage. I love visiting nursing homes and the physically challenged
of Heritage.
Miscellaneous information I'd like to share:
-
I was
involved in the moving and commercial warehouse business for several
years before entering the ministry. My hobbies are gardening, reading
history on the web, putting old slides on CD's and now learning to put
my old albums on CD's.
