Basic Personal Information:  

•  My husband and I have two grown sons who also live in Van Buren with their families. I grew up in Sylvan Hills, outside North Little Rock. Wayne and I moved to Van Buren in 1974. I began working at St. John’s (one of the merging churches which created Heritage) in 1978 as a part time secretary. My responsibilities have increased through the years until I became Business Administrator in 2003.

My call to ministry – why it is my passion:

•  I was first asked to consider working for a church in 1972 when I was pregnant with our second son and was not able to consider the job at that time but felt the call then that this would be something I would like.  From the day I began working at St. John’s I just felt I was doing what I should be doing.  It is often frustrating and very challenging but I have always felt I was doing what God had intended me to do.

Miscellaneous information I'd like to share:

• I love to be with my family and to be outside gardening, hiking, canoeing and riding my bike. These all help me keep my sanity!
