Hi! Thanks for checking
out the Heritage website! There is always something new! We hope you'll visit
us "in person" when you are able. Heritage is an awesome church and God is
doing great things here! He is really molding us and shaping us into the church
HE wants us to be! We’ve got a long way to go, but we are taking some big steps
to get there.
Currently, I am deployed to
Iraq with the 217th Brigade Support Battalion, 39th
Infantry Brigade, Arkansas Army National Guard. Hopefully, I’ll be home by
Christmas!!! Pastor George and Kay Williams are serving as our interim Lead
Pastor family. We are so thankful God has brought them to us for this time!
GREAT THINGS ARE
HAPPENING AT HERITAGE!
We have just purchased 18 1/2 acres (the old McKnight farm) located next to
Heritage. This property will serve the growing Heritage community for at least
the next hundred years. This is our gift and legacy to our children and
grandchildren and now it is our privilege to use this property to be a blessing
to the local community. Our building committee is currently preparing to start
construction on the first phase of our 80,000 square foot multi-purpose center.
Phase one will be our student center. We hope to begin construction in the
summer of 2008.
We have a satellite congregation at
Mount Olive Church led by Pastor
Barry Morton. Mount Olive,
located in historic downtown Van Buren and on the National Register of
Historical Places, was built in 1889 by former slaves. This is a very exciting
and dynamic ministry reaching out to a target group of 18-35 year olds. They
worship on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. and evenings at 6:11 p.m..
We have home and foreign mission teams deploying throughout the year. Our new
local mission teams are busy “making the presence of Christ real in the
River Valley.”
Heritage has two worship services on Sunday morning: a 9:15 a.m. traditional worship service and a
10:45 a.m. contemporary worship service led by
our praise team! Each service is going great and making disciples of Jesus
Christ.
We have Sunday School sessions for all ages at 9:15 and 10:45. Children
check-in and enter “The Backyard.” Kids love our curriculum based on Luke 2:52,
“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” Youth
head to “The Block” for “AM-VIBE!” Adults may choose between traditional Sunday
School classes and short-term Heritage University courses. See the link on this

Also, we have a full week of ministries for all ages: PULSE Student Ministries
meets on Sunday evenings from 5:45-8:00; Adult Life-Groups (covering a wide range of topics) meet throughout
the week. Wednesday evenings are all about “eating the Word!” All ages study
the same scriptures. This year we are studying “Heroes of the Bible.” Next
year, we’ll study the book of Luke. In 2009-2010, we’ll be in the book of
Acts. We serve a fellowship meal from
5:15 until 6:00 p.m. Tiny Tims (pre-school) and Timothy Team (1st-6th)
begin at 5:45. Youth and Adult studies
begin at 6:00!
Heritage
has grown tremendously over the past few years both spiritually and
numerically. It is exciting what God is doing! We are preparing ourselves for
the revival God is about to bring! It is a joy to lead people into a
life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ and to see them filled with the
presence of the Holy Spirit! We invite you to join us on this great
adventure of serving our awesome God and seeking “to become the
church of God’s dreams!”
